Getting Closer to Departure

Heading into the 4th of July weekend I am getting that giddy feeling of an adventure waiting to happen... got bike tuned up by two really great guys at Neutral Cycles in Urbana Illinois...Daniel and Joe are the BEST!!!... Many thanks to them for getting the Retro 1996 Trek 7900 roadready... If you need work on a bike  GO SEE THESE GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have all my gear ready... will be taking a fully loaded test ride tomorrow... researched all about Havre Montana online and got a pretty good lay of the land.. .. have not gotten any feedback from my riding partner but will keep trying to reach him...last night my wife and daughter surprised me with many cool gift to make my ride better... SO THANK YOU Gloria and Carly!!!!!!!  

Looking to the Rockies....

This has already been an adventure .. just trying to put a decent touring bike together and assembling the gear to tackle the Rockies... My riding partner who has graciously allowed me the opportunity to tag along for part of his coast to coast tour... east to west... as he winds down from the workplace and tries to settle into retirement... and has a very special mission as a Vietnam War Veteran bringing awareness to all veterans... Still waiting to wade through the logistics of getting out in front of my partner in Havre Montana sometime in the next couple of weeks.  Can't wait to hit the road.
